Rock and Rouge Foundation’s TOMBOY S.T.E.A.M. tent was created to empower young women by sparking their interest in S.T.E.A.M. fields (Science, Tech, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).

Rock & Rouge Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit, dedicated to granting small scholarships to young women who seek to expand their knowledge in the fields of S.T.E.A.M. We believe that introducing young girls to S.T.E.A.M. will lead to a more diverse, inclusive working world that gives all people the same rewarding opportunities.
This is why one of the festival’s main attractions is our Rock & Rouge Foundation-sponsored TOMBOY S.T.E.A.M. tent for young girls. We have partnered with organizations such as ElectricGirls.org, Upturn Arts, and Microsoft to hold workshops and games that fortify young minds through activities involving science, technology, engineering, arts & mathematics (STEAM). We have allowed girls to make their first “squishy boards” & “snap circuits”, play games on Xboxes, and partake in the science experiment of making GOO. All children ages 8-14 are welcome to learn and have fun at Rock & Rouge Foundation’s TOMBOY S.T.E.A.M. Tent.
Breaking down all barriers, we want our kids in our communities to be open to a whole new world of higher education and enlightenment. This is the mission of Rock & Rouge Foundation.
